last night i was watching all about eve and i totally fell asleep at the beginning of the third act. i kinda knew i should’ve written my blog post earlier in the day, but i spent most of it in transity and then i forgot after the trains took to where i was going. all about eve was an alright movie, and i especially like this very strange quality of old movies. =_= =-_-=.

regardless, all about eve, kinda sexist, kinda says everything that tiqqun book i bought says, kinda a good rotpolitics movie, kinda the substance is a spiritual successor to it, a timeless story about time…
and also kinda a totall snooze. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ don’t care didn’t make it thru it and i just used wikipedia this morning to learn about the obvious ending. maybe it blew people’s minds at the time. and some of the dialogue was clever and meta. the sadness of seeing “the original” (of course i think it had been done 100 times before…) after seeing the 100 copies driven by the repetition compulsion it sparked
anyway, i went to atproto hack day nyc vibe sesh! it was fun, tho i’m so eternally bad at making new friends and opening up to people haha. unintentionally spent the whole time more or less failing to aura farm in the corner. still i guess getting marginally out of my comfort zone is progress in that respect but IDRK
eternal affirmation that coding the thing is the least difficult part of it (which is why it makes me extra sad seeing how many things out there appear to be coded maybe not in the greatest ._.) nobody can do everything, but nevertheless i will try against my better judgment and end up in a ditch drinking muck or some such scum.
after the atproto event i saw a friend and we went to an indie show, shout out here for you band, they’re the next big thing fr, so many talented vocalists, great songwriting, fun energy, they’re like a collective or something you love to see it, and they have an album coming out in a month or two. “the first year” or something like that. definitely check them out when that happens.
in xcvr news, actually a lot of progress last week despite all my best efforts to self sabotage in anxious anticipation of this event. of course it was easier than i expected to add oauth back with indigo sdk, and then i added a whole bunch of lil frontend features on the bus to new york, which i got to make work while aurafarming in the corner
now, she’s more or less at the point where like there are other things to work on of course, but the miniboss at the 2/3rds point is really undeniable, and all the sidequests are getting boring: I REALLY NEED TO ADD FILE + esp IMAGE UPLOADS AND EMBEDS. so that’s basically what i’m gonna commit the next week on likely it will just be cursory work, either on the upload or the download side of things. or maybe avatars. idk……… there are options, and paths. and i’m sure it becomes less intimidating as we move forward! but the main point of drama of course is that we want to like cache the images on the backend so that way we don’t need to make n=number of participants in thread requests to PDS. and of course there are all these vampires out there that want me to use their service to cache image. so if possible i wanna avoid that and put more of the cost on the pdses within reason…. as always, coding the thing is the least difficult part of it…. technocapital peeks its head in

p.s.! i think that i’m gonna start blogging abt xcvr on leaflet.pub, i think their platform seems super cool. i alsooooo might start putting some of my better posts from this blog on there, maybe like wednesdays i’ll find an old post, clean it up a bit, and put it up on a blog there. though i’ll try and keep xcvr stuff different, idrk why. well, i guess if you’d be interested in the technical side of xcvr, you’d probably not be interested in my pretentious yap, although i think you probably need brain damage to be interested in the technical side of xcvr in which case my pretentious yap might not come across as what it is. cest la vie
